Gracie was born August 15,1930 in Salida, CO.
She grew up on a 280 acre ranch in Salida with her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Gracie moved to Canon City
in 1951 when she was 21 years old. She met Albert Edwards and they were married in 1956. Albert worked for the
City of Canon City as a dispatcher for the Canon City Police Department and for the City Parks doing maintenance at Red Canon
and the Royal Gorge. He also worked on radiators as a side job. Gracie and Albert were married for forty-three
years and were blessed with two daughters, Linda Naylor and Beverly Parker, and one son Leonard Eugene Edwards. Linda
lives in Canon City, Beverly lives in Florence and Leonard has passed away. She also has three grandsons, Dennis Eugene
Parker, Allen Parker, and Christopher Naylor. Gracie worked t St. Thomas More Hospital for 28 years and then worked
for Fremont County Social Services for another 10 years. She is now retired and lives with her Siamese cat, Samantha,
at the Garden Villa Apartments. Gracie loves flowers and her hobby is ceramics. She enjoys volunteering at
the Golden Age Center and other groups around town. Gracie is a member of the Canon City Seventh Day Adventist Church.
