Our 2010 Valentine of the Year

The votes were cast and our Valentine of the year is Terry Marion.  She is a dedicated volunteer not only for our center, but also at the Florence senior center.  She was a great choice.

March 17, 2010 Saint Patrick's Day

This month will be the men's turn to be in the spotlight with our Leprechaun of the year drawing on March 17th before lunch.

The Sage Hens Return Saturday March 20, 2010 4:00 PM
 Last year everyone enjoyed the Sage Hens and their unique style of entertainment which include storytelling, poems and singing.  Kate and Elaine are very talented and put on a great show.  There will also be a taco dinner with beverage and dessert all for a donation of $5 per person.  Please call the office at 275-5177 to make your reservation soon.

Wednesday Night Dance

All ages are invited to dance or just enjoy the music of the Mountain Blue Band every Wednesday night at GAC beginning at 7:00 PM except on the night of the pot luck they start at 6:30 PM.  Check it out, we think you will like.

Commodities Distribution Wednesday March 24, at 2:00 PM

If you think you qualify to receive commodities you can apply at the UAACOG office, 3224 Independence Road, or call 275-8350 for further information.  The commodities are distributed every quarter and our center is the Canon City site.

GAC Grins and Chuckles Laughter Club

This group invites you to see just what a laughter club does every Thursday Morning at our center at 10:30 AM.  The leaders of this group, Darla Morrison and Patti Myers will also be putting on a class at this year's Senior Mini College, so please check the schedule for the times of those classes.

I'd like to thank Bob Nelson, Tom Donahue, Don Donaldson, and others for purchasing and installing our new coffee machine in the kitchen.
